COA field checker

Prepared by: Research Desk. Sources are linked for verification.

Enter the details printed on a certificate of analysis (COA). The checker lists which quality fields are present, which are missing, and the steps for confirming the report with the laboratory that issued it.

How it works. The checker is a fixed, rule-based checklist that runs entirely in the browser. Nothing entered is stored, sent or logged, and the page makes no network request when the button is pressed. It only reports which fields were entered. It does not verify a report, and it makes no judgement about the quality or safety of any material or its suitability for any use.

Runs in this browser only. Nothing entered is stored or sent.

What the fields mean

  • Testing laboratory. The organisation that ran the analysis. A named laboratory can be contacted to confirm a report.
  • Report ID. The laboratory's reference for the report. The laboratory can look it up in its own records.
  • Batch or lot number. Ties the report to a specific production quantity and so to the label on a container.
  • HPLC and MS. HPLC reports purity as a share of peak area; mass spectrometry checks identity by molecular mass.
  • Purity value, date and client. The reported figure, when the test was run, and who asked for it.
